Compositive Primary Resources

FAQs

What is the difference between a tour and an open house?2020-04-06T11:48:03-06:00

Tours allow you to see not only Compositive Primary’s building, but also the students and teachers in action during the school day. Open houses occur during the evening or weekend and involve a building tour with an administrator as well as the opportunity to view the classrooms and meet several teachers. Tours and open houses are optional steps in the admission process. We host a few open houses each fall, and tours are offered throughout the school year.

Are there fees in addition to tuition?2024-11-21T15:35:48-07:00

No. All materials are provided in the classrooms so we do not request school supplies at the beginning of the year. There are optional fees charged to students who sign up for the extended-day and Deep Dive programs. Teachers may ask for voluntary supplies, such as used cardboard boxes, for special projects.

What is the purpose of submitting an inquiry form?2019-04-05T15:53:20-06:00

The inquiry form enables us to keep prospective applicant families informed of ongoing news and admissions events.

What tests are required for admissions?2019-04-05T15:52:48-06:00

We do not require cognitive testing. In addition to completing an application, parents and prospective students will participate in a tour and group or class visit during the admissions season. We request applicants for kindergarten and older to submit a teacher recommendation and school records.

When can I submit an application for my child?2019-04-05T15:51:12-06:00

Applications are accepted in the fall prior to the admissions school year. We do not accept applications any earlier on a waitlist basis.

How do we visit Compositive Primary?2024-12-04T11:01:29-07:00

We are excited to meet prospective families and students. Please refer to the open house and tour link on the admissions page of our website for our current visit schedule. You may also email us at admissions@compositiveprimary.org or call 720-452-2522 x2 to schedule a visit or ask questions.

Who is eligible to apply to Compositive Primary?2022-04-05T16:24:19-06:00

Everyone is welcome at Compositive Primary.

How old must my child be to attend Compositive Primary? What is the age cut-off?2024-12-04T11:05:44-07:00

Our youngest students begin Compositive Primary at age three. Children must be age appropriate by September 1 for the classroom/grade to which they apply. For example, a child must turn age three by September 1, 2025 to apply for the 2025-2026 school year’s three-year-old classroom.

What are the multi-age groupings within a classroom?2019-10-03T10:49:00-06:00

There are two age three/four classrooms (50% of each age). The mixed age groupings will also occur in the kindergarten/first, second/third, and fourth/fifth grade classrooms.

Will the three and four-year-olds participate in full-day classes? Or will there be a half-day option?2019-01-08T15:21:57-07:00

We offer a customized full-day program for all of our students, regardless of their age.

How many students are in each class?2019-01-08T15:28:34-07:00

Three and four-year-old classrooms: 16 students

Kindergarten – fifth Grade: 18 students
